Employers

1. We've had an injury. How do I report it?

Call the WCB Telefile line at 1-800-787-9288 for initial reports of injury only (the W1 and E1 forms). A claims entitlement specialist will complete the report for you over the telephone. Please have the following information at hand when you call:
  • Name, address and contact numbers for your company and for your injured worker;
  • Details about the injury; and
  • Records of the worker's earnings and recent employment history.

4. I'm a new employer. How do I register my company?

You can submit your registration online or download a copy of the Employer Registration form and fax it to Revenue & Employer Accounts.

5. Can I wait until after the strike to submit my premiums/payments?

No. You are still responsible for making your payments on time.

  • Through your financial institution's online or telephone banking services.

1. How will I get my cheque if there's a strike or job action?

To avoid any delays in receiving payment, sign up for direct deposit. It is a safe and secure option to receive your cheques quickly. Fax the form to us.

2. How do I set up direct deposit to my bank account?

To avoid any delays in receiving payment, sign up for direct deposit. It is a safe and secure option to receive your cheques quickly. To have the WCB begin direct deposit, do the following:
  • Print off and complete the direct deposit application form;
  • Attach a personalized cheque or deposit slip marked "VOID"; and

3. Can I pick up my cheque?

Yes, at the Regina  or Saskatoon  office.. You will need to contact your adjudicator or case manager to ensure your cheque has been processed and what day it can be picked it

Be sure to bring Government-issued picture identification or your cheque will not be released. If you are having someone else pick up your cheque, you will need to provide them with written authorization that is witness by a third party. The letter of authorization must clearly identify the individual who is picking up the cheque by full name. They must present government issued picture identification and sign for your cheque.

If you are receiving treatment at one of the treatment centres in the province, you will need to contact your adjudicator or case manager to see if arrangements can be made to deliver your cheque there for pick up.

4. I live in rural Saskatchewan. Will you courier my cheque to me?

We recommend that you sign up for direct deposit.

You will need to contact your adjudicator or case manager to see what, if any other arrangements can be made for getting your cheque.

5. How do I send you my expenses? You must include your claim number on each documents or receipt sent into the WCB. Ensure you are on direct deposit as there will be delays in receiving any cheque.

6. How do I file a claim (report an injury)?

You can submit the Worker's Report of an Injury form (W1 )online.

You can also complete the W1 form online and print two copies or print a blank copy and complete it by hand. Sign one copy and fax it to the WCB.
