The executive leadership of the WCB was re-organized in 1996 following a full internal and external review of
operations, methods and communications. The ultimate goal of the review and re-organization is to provide quicker
and more efficient services for workers.
The WCB executive consists of a Chief Executive Officer (
Peter Federko) and three Vice Presidents
(
Gail Kruger,
Donna Kane, and
Graham Topp). The WCB employs
approximately 430 people at its headquarters in Regina and a branch office in Saskatoon.
Peter Federko, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Federko was appointed to the newly-created position of Chief Executive Officer of the Saskatchewan Workers'
Compensation Board in September, 1996. Mr. Federko is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the WCB.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, he was the WCB's Vice President of Budget and Finance. Before joining the
WCB, Mr. Federko spent 18 years in auditing, accounting and business management consulting. He is a Chartered
Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. The creation of the CEO
position enables the Board members to concentrate on policy issues and strategic planning.
Gail Kruger, Vice President, Finance and Information Technology
Prior to her appointment in 1997, Ms. Kruger was Chief Financial Officer with the Touchwood Qu'Appelle Health
District. Ms. Kruger holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of
Health Services Administration degree from Dalhousie University.
Donna Kane, Vice President, Human Resources & Team Support
Prior to joining the Workers' Compensation Board, Ms. Kane worked for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for nearly 27 years,
including 14 years in human resources. Most recently, she held the position of Director, Human Resources
Services. Ms. Kane holds a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Regina and has a Certified
Human Resource Professional Designation.
Graham Topp, Vice President, Operations
Mr. Topp was previously employed with SaskTel Customer Services where he spent most of the last 13 years
establishing relationships with and delivering service to Saskatchewan businesses. Prior to his employment with
SaskTel, Mr. Topp worked at Saskatchewan Finance. Educated at the University of Regina and University of
Saskatchewan, he has a B.A. in Economics.
