The Saskatchewan Workers' Compensation Board has entered into an agreement
with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to share information on businesses
registered with each agency. This process will identify employers that are
registered with one organization but not the other so that contact may be made
to determine if registration is necessary. Both the WCB and the CRA carefully
protect their clients' privacy and all information is shared under strict
guidelines and only for specific purposes.
Employers benefit when all required businesses are registered with WCB
Ensuring all employers register as required:
-
Achieves a greater level of fairness and equity by ensuring all employers are
paying their required share of compensation premiums.
- Protects employers and workers against the financial impacts of workplace
injuries.
Registration
The WCB will be contacting employers who may need to be registered to:
-
Inform them of their registration requirements
- Explain WCB's registration process.
