Roles & Responsibilities
If you are injured on the job and require medical attention, you must:
  • Tell your employer
  • Report your injury to the WCB
  • Stay in touch with your employer, your WCB representative and the first health care provider you see about your injury. This person is called your "primary health care provider"
  • Follow the treatment program set out for you
  • Get involved in your return-to-work plans
Duty to Cooperate
Injured workers have a duty to lessen any loss of earnings by cooperating with their medical treatment and return-to-work plans.
