If you are injured on the job and require medical attention, you must:
- Tell your employer
- Report your injury to the WCB
- Stay in touch with your employer, your WCB representative and the first health
care provider you see about your injury. This person is called your "primary
health care provider"
- Follow the treatment program set out for you
- Get involved in your return-to-work plans
Duty to Cooperate
Injured workers have a duty to lessen any loss of earnings by cooperating with their
medical treatment and return-to-work plans.
