There are over 375 people registered to attend the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) 17th annual Compensation Institute at the Delta Regina. Participants will attend educational sessions focusing on workers’ compensation processes, how to identify hazards in the workplace; get information on hiring a contractor and more. This 2-day educational event is free of charge to registered participants.
Started in 1998, this event is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the workers’ compensation system. This is the 6th year that registration is full to capacity.
“We are proud to say we are still the only compensation system in Canada to provide a free educational conference like Compensation Institute,” says Gord Dobrowolsky, Chair of the WCB. “When we started this event 17 years ago our goal was to create a learning environment where attendees could learn from their peers and the WCB, and then go back to their workplaces to share and apply what they learned.”
