WCB Claimant Sentenced in Fraud Conviction

On May 24, 2013, a former pipeline technician was sentenced in Regina Provincial Court for defrauding the WCB of $28,279.03. The former claimant was found guilty by a jury on February 8, 2013 of going back to work while still receiving income replacement. He was sentenced to an 18 month conditional sentence, the first 6 months of which are to be served under house arrest. In addition, he is to complete 100 hours of community service.
