The WCB is seeking employers’ input on how the transition to the enhanced rate model will take place. Please have your say and add your comments.

Transitioning fully in 2018 means that those rate codes that are going down will see the full benefit of lower premium rates right away. And those whose rate code will be going up, will also see the impact as their premium rates go up.

Transitioning the impact of the rate model change over two years beginning in 2018 means that those whose rate codes will be going down will see half of the benefit of lower premium rates in 2018 and the other half in 2019. Those whose rate codes will be going up because of the rate model changes, will also see half of the impact in 2018 and the remaining impact in 2019.
