Operational Details
This is a specialized construction activity that involves digging trenches for wire conduit. A ditcher, backhoe, or digging machine is used to remove soil or dirt from 1 ½' to 3' deep so that electrical conduit may be laid into the trench. Once the cable or conduit has been laid, the trench is covered over, and levelled. The work may be undertaken for a county, municipality, village, town, city, or it may involve trenching on private property.
