Operational Details
Employers in this subcode provide personal medical care by attending to patients in their own homes. This allows clients to retain their independence for as long as possible, rather than receiving care in a hospital or long term care facility. The care will include a medical component such as administering medicine, changing dressings, physiotherapy, and may also include attending to personal needs such as bathing, grooming, etc. Services may be provided on an hourly basis or 24 hour care may be provided.

While this group does provide health care services such as visiting nursing programs, home respiratory services, etc., they may also provide services outside of healthcare, such as homemaking, cleaning, companionship and accompaniment programs.

Blood management services screen, collect and test blood donations. Often technicians will visit a place of business to set up temporary clinics for donors.
