Description

Operational Details
Cranes are rented out with an operator as a highly specialized service. The service is usually only required for a short period of time during the time equipment, structural members and the like must be hoisted into place. Most employers do not want the expense of having a piece of equipment around that is not fully utilized. Therefore, crane businesses can perform this service by moving from jobsite to jobsite as needed. The incidental transportation and repair and maintenance of the crane are part of the overall operations being conducted.

In a similar manner, pneumatic concrete pumper trucks are hired with an operator. Concrete is purchased from transit mix companies usually and transported to the site and offloaded by means of the pneumatic pumping unit. The equipment is used in pumping concrete long distances, or to a higher level of the construction site. This method is used when the use of transit mix trucks is not practical. Incidental repairs and maintenance may also be undertaken.
