Advertising distribution is undertaken using a vehicle, usually a lightweight truck or car. The promotional material or papers are picked up from the printer or customer and delivered to a central point, and delivered to individual mailboxes by individuals on foot. Drivers may also distribute the material to selected households or businesses.

Portable sign placement involves the moving of portable signs on a rubber wheeled trailer to the selected site. The sign mayor may not be back-lit. The letters are arranged and set into place by the portable sign mover. This service is provided to customers who desire to advertise away from their regular location, and for special sales, or for a period of time until a permanent advertising sign can be erected. The erection of outdoor signs in a permanent or fixed location is not part of this industry.
