Operational Details
Auto rental agencies rent vehicles on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Often the cars are rented to out of town, or province customers, who are in the area for short periods of time, but require mobility where public transportation is either not available, or desirable.

These employers also serve customers who need replacement vehicles as the result of an accident, or a vehicle for a special purpose (i.e. a minivan or a 12 passenger van).

No servicing is done. All repairs are sent out and subcontracted to an auto repair shop. A rental employee may drive a vehicle to a car wash for clean up, shampooing or oil change.
