Operational Details
Employers operating oil lube shops specialize in changing oil in cars, trucks, and sports vehicles, including motorcycles.
A customer drives their vehicle into a lube shop, over a narrow opening in the main floor, which contains a recessed pit. The vehicle is then stopped and serviced by employees who work underneath the vehicle, removing oil plugs and applying grease to fittings of the power train and engine.
Fluid levels of the vehicle may be topped up by the worker. Either bulk oil or speciality oils are used in the vehicles.
