Description

Operational Details
Oilfield equipment maintenance and installation includes delivery of dehydrators, pump jacks, separators, etc.

Same day erection or dropping off of equipment and setting into place is allowed. Included are: pump jacks, dehydrators, tanks, etc. Longer term construction projects are undertaken by industrial contractors who use larger equipment and have much larger work forces.

Equipment may include service trucks with a flat deck and a vice mounted on the back for smaller repairs, a welder for repairing equipment on site, and a cherry picker for removing or installing equipment on the site. A bobcat or backhoe could also be used in the erection process.

There will be some cross over with employers maintaining and installing oil and gas well equipment, also insured in this rate unit. When this is the case, the majority of operations rule applies. If more involved in equipment, classify it here, if site work, classify it in D41-04.
