Operational Details
Housing authorities are responsible for delivering housing programs and services throughout Saskatchewan. The housing authority network consists of individual housing authorities throughout Saskatchewan who independently manage social housing within each community.

Each housing authority has a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers appointed by Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments.

Housing authorities' responsibilities include the creation and sustainability of housing programs that provide viable and affordable living spaces to low and moderate income individuals and families, and help build sustainable communities using housing as the foundation.

Housing authorities are independently managed non-profit organizations that work in partnership with the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC) to administer the social housing within each of their communities. Properties are developed and constructed through funding from Municipal, Provincial or Federal governments.
