Employers or individuals in this subcode are sales representatives or agents for out of province manufacturers. Sales representatives and agents may work out of their personal residence or a company office and do not maintain an inventory. Sales representatives and agents engage with customers (via virtual meetings, emails, phone calls, etc.), provide product samples and perform product demonstrations. Purchased product is shipped directly from the manufacturer to the purchaser. Repair of purchased products is not performed, however, the returning of, and ordering of, replacements through the representative or agent is allowed.

The main difference between a sales representative and an agent is that a sales representative works directly for one organization and an agent is an independent contractor who may have multiple clients.
